About Us

We’re here to help children and parents through tutoring and support so that you can both thrive through the primary years and beyond.

Kate Pattison - Founder of Learn Happy - Small Group Tuition

Hi I'm Kate, founder of Learn Happy

I founded Learn Happy quite simply because I wanted to create what I wished existed for children.

It’s a space for young learners to come, feel comfortable and confident to take risks and work collaboratively all whilst building a growth mindset.

Learn Happy has evolved to become an education and well-being business which bridges the gap between teachers and parents. Bringing our secrets & expertise from the classroom to support children and their parents through small group tuition and a hub of resources.

We do the work For You, and we make it fun

Come and join us

At the Learning Club, there is a strong emphasis on practical, fun and challenging learning. Whether you want specific areas of learning to be supported, for your child to secure age related expectations, to build confidence or for them to be challenged, we are here to help. This approach runs through every one of our sessions from our Curriculum Support package to Holiday Workshops or preparation and gearing up for the 11+.

We take pressure away from parents and help children take an active role in their own learning, enabling and empowering them to reach their full potential. The children go on to thrive during the primary years and beyond. We offer an outstanding educational provision with our in person and online small group tuition and provide a range of services and programmes to support parents, all carefully designed and delivered by professional, qualified and experienced teachers.

The Hub was built in 2021 as I wanted to create what we wished existed for parents. We are passionate about working with families and children and on a mission to unlock potential and promote well-being. We know, as educators and mums that the primary landscape can feel discombobulating at times. Schools and teachers are busy, and stretched and it can be difficult to get the support you need as a parent.

So, I set up the Hub with the simple aim of supporting as many parents as possible to feel informed, empowered and build confidence. As we know, knowledge is power.

Kate - Founder of Learn Happy

I have 20 years experience in education teaching and tutoring across the primary years. During my teaching career I was in  senior leader roles within primary schools and I have supported many children through the 11+ and entrance exams. I am a mum of two young children and I founded Learn Happy Club as I wanted to provide an exciting and flexible learning path for children aged 6-11 in Hertfordshire.
